Con-nichiwa is an annual convention held in Tucson, AZ in March. This year they relocated to the Tucson Convention Center and featured guests like God Save the Queen! There were many cosplayers roaming the halls and posing for photos, and here is a collection of some we managed to snap!
This year the big anime on everyone’s mind and on everyone’s bodies was Kill la Kill. It seemed like every few feet we traveled there was another Mako or Ryūko standing there. The masquerade was small but full of talented entrants with entertaining skits, including an amazing set of performances from Frozen cosplayers and an adorable Takane who performed a dance from iDOLM@STER.
The convention also featured a few cosplay cafes, a maid cafe, J-Fashion show, and cosplay parade. Attendance numbers reached 2,132 this year and we are looking forward to seeing how this con grows in the next.
