Anohana English Dub to Premiere at Anime Expo

It’s been a long time coming, but 2011’s Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day is finally getting an English dub, and it’s been announced Anime Expo attendees will be the first ones to get a peek.

The Anohana dub, which is produced by Aniplex of America, will premiere at Anime Expo on July 2 at 6:30pm with the main cast in attendance.

Appearing will be: Griffin Burns (Gintan), Xanthe Huynh (Menma), Erica Lindbeck (Anaru), Erica Mendez (Tsuruko), Kaiji Tang (Poppo) and Patrick Seitz, who wrote and directed the dub.

The premiere will also feature a giveaway of Anohana-branded tissues, ostensibly for all the crying viewers will be doing when watching later episodes of the series.

It’s taken a while for this 2011 tearjerker to get an English dub, but Anime Expo attendees will, at long last, be able to talk about The Dub They Saw That Day.
