You Can Virtually Visit the Mamoru Hosoda Exhibit Next Month

Mamoru Hosoda working on new film

Mamoru Hosoda is getting a short-term exhibit of his work at the “Studio Chizu Exhibition at animate ONLYSHOP” located in the Yokohama Vivre building. But even if you’re not local or unable to travel, you can visit the exhibit digitally on July 15.

YouTuber and deputy store manager of animate Yokohama Vivre Shotaro Otani will be the guide, and the online tour will be in Japanese. But it will be free, and even if you can’t speak the language, you will be able to look at things. The exhibit will include items from The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Summer Wars, Wolf Children, The Boy and the Beast and Mirai, plus BELLE, his latest movie. Items on display include scripts, storyboards and background art.

If you want to reserve your spot for the virtual experience, you can do that here.
