It’s been a long wait, but we’ve finally got a peek at next film in the Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway series. The sequel to the first Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway film has been previewed in a teaser trailer that reveals its title, staff members and a winter release window.
The film carries the official English title Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe, and it’s being created largely by the same staff as the first film, including director Shukou Murase.
As previously reported, the film appears to take part at least in part in Australia (specifically Adelaide, as indicated by a note spotted in the teaser trailer).
Here’s the official YouTube description of the teaser:
In June 2021, “MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM HATHAWAY” premiered in theaters across Japan. The film earned critical acclaim for its stunning visual artistry, emotionally resonant human drama centered on protagonist Hathaway, and realistic portrayal of war and conflict. Featuring a powerful performance by Kensho Ono portraying protagonist Hathaway Noa and directed by the acclaimed Shukou Murase, this highly-anticipated new film hits theaters across Japan next winter.
The Hathaway trilogy is based on the novel series by Gundam creator Yoshiyuki Tomino that center around Hathaway Noa, and son of Bright Noa from the original Gundam.
