The new TV anime adaptation of Yoshinobu Akita’s Sorcerous Stabber Orphen light novel series officially has a premiere date. According to the official website, the series will debut in January of 2020, and 10 more cast members have been announced along with the timing.
In addition to Showtaro Morikubo, who is reprising his lead role as Orphen from the previous two anime, here’s who else you can look forward to hearing:

Morikubo had the following to say about playing Orphen for the first time in 19 years:
“I was in my mid-20s when I first met Orphen. This is the most important title when I talk about my career as a voice actor. There is nothing that could make me happier than playing this character again after a long time. I can meet that man again. I can travel with those friends again. And I can scream again! My heart is too full for words! ‘Ware wa hanatsu hikari no hakujin!’ “
Takayuki Hamana (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Reflection) is directing the series, with Reiko Yoshida (Girls und Panzer) on series composition and Takahiko Yoshida (Cells at Work!) on character designs at anime production house Studio Deen. Check out the new promo below.
