The Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards 2021 nominees have been revealed, and they contain a handful of manga titles.
They mainly show up under the category of Best U.S. Edition of International Material—Asia. The nominees here are I Had That Same Dream Again by Yoru Sumino and Idumi Kirihara, I Wish I Could Say “Thank You” by Yukari Takinami, A Journal Of My Father by Jiro Taniguchi, Ping Pong, vols. 1–2, by Taiyo Matsumoto, Remina by Junji Ito, and Spy X Family vols. 1–3 by Tatsuya Endo.
I Don’t Know How to Give Birth! by Ayami Kazama is nominated for Best Graphic Memoir. Junji Ito is nominated for Best Writer/Artist.
We’ll learn who the winners are during the Comic-Con@Home virtual event next month.
