Food Wars! has returned.
The second season of the series, entitled The Second Plate, has begun airing, causing mass salivation throughout the world. And now the music video for the opening theme, “ROUGH DIAMONDS,” has been released, giving us a chance to rock out to the full version of the song.
The video, which centers around a young boxer aiming for the top, doesn’t have all that much to do with Food Wars!, but we suppose both involve training hard to defeat your opponents and all that stuff.
The song is written and performed by SCREEN mode, who previously did the opening theme for Love Stage!!. The single goes on sale in Japan July 27 in a version that includes a DVD and another that features Food Wars! main character Soma on the cover (pictured above).
Anime music videos uploaded to YouTube are increasingly country restricted, so cheers to Lantis Channel to sharing “ROUGH DIAMONDS” with the world (except Germany, for some reason…).
