Evangelion 3.0+1.11 Anime Film Goes Behind the Scenes in New Video

With Hideaki Anno’s Shin Kamen Rider on the way to theaters on March 18 just after the home video release of Evangelion 3.0+1.11: Thrice Upon a Time in Japan on March 8, there’s no better time for a double dose of Anno. The latest build-up to the 4K Blu-ray release is a brief behind-the-scenes video that shows off a portion of the included making-of documentary before wrapping up with a trailer for Shin Kamen Rider

Evangelion 3.0+1.11: Thrice Upon a Time opened in Japanese theaters on March 8, 2021, followed by a global release on Amazon Prime Video on August 13 of the same year. A North American home video release is on the way from GKIDS in the future, and here’s the official synopsis:

Misato and her anti-NERV group Wille arrive at Paris, a city now red from core-ization. Crew from the flagship Wunder land on a containment tower. They only have 720 seconds to restore the city. When a horde of NERV Evas appear, Mari’s improved Eva Unit 8 must intercept. Meanwhile, Shinji, Asuka, and Rei (Provisional Name) wander about Japan.
