More light novel audiobooks are on the way from Seven Seas Entertainment, and the latest hails from the world of Neon Genesis Evangelion. Seven Seas announced plans to release an audiobook version of the Neon Genesis Evangelion: ANIMA light novels by Ikuto Yamashita, complete with Asuka dub VA Tiffany Grant as the narrator.

The ANIMA light novels were originally serialized in Kadokawa’s Dengeki Hobby Magazine from 2008 to 2013, and all five collected volumes have been published in English. The story posits an alternate ending to the series, as Seven Seas describes below:

What if reluctant hero Ikari Shinji had saved the world? Now, at seventeen years old, he is the de facto leader of the EVA team. Under the leadership of Commander Katsuragi Misato, the Evangelion suits have been updated with advanced designs and abilities in preparation for the possible return of the monstrous Angels. Four copies of Ayanami Rei are tasked with operating a global anti-Angel search-and-destroy program. But when one of these clones goes rogue, only Shinji can stop her.

In other Evangelion news, Hideaki Anno’s hometown recently established a tourist attraction in the form of a 22-foot Spear of Longinus.
