Feature Watch: Akame ga Kill!

Have you been keeping up with the Akame ga Kill! anime this season? In the latest issue of Otaku USA Brittany Vincent delivers a solid argument for giving it a shot over the course of her feature, which covers everything from the explosive action to the memorable characters and beyond.

Here’s an excerpt in which Brittany describes one of the show’s strong suits:

Of course, where Akame ga Kill! truly shines is its diverse cast of characters. Protagonist Tatsumi is your average run-of-the-mill adolescent-turned-assassin, but the rest of the Night Raid and the Jaegers? You won’t soon forget them. Night Raid’s full of memorable personalities, including Akame, who’s a bit socially awkward but extremely passionate about her squadmates and ruthless to those who cross her. And then there’s Bulat, who shares more than a few personality traits with Gurren Lagann‘s Kamina—right down to the “big brother” roles in their social circles and with friends.
