Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Anime Reveals New Trailer, Cast

Isekai light novel series Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation is getting the anime treatment. Announced last year, the series is set to hit screens in 2021. In the meantime, a new trailer for the series, and some casting, has just been revealed.

The cast members announced today are:

  • Toshiyuki Morikawa as Paul Greyrat
  • Hisako Kanemoto as Zenith Greyrat
  • Lynn as Lillia Greyrat

The main character, Rudeus Greyrat, will be voiced by Yumi Uchiyama.

The series, about a 34-year-old who gets hit by a truck and reincarnated in another world as Rudeus Greyrat, is directed by Manabu Okamoto (GAMERS!) at Studio Bind.

Here’s how Yen Press describes the original Mushoku Tensei light novels:

Just when an unemployed thirty-four-year-old otaku reaches a dead end in life and decides that it’s time to turn over a new leaf—he gets run over by a truck and dies! Shockingly, he finds himself reborn into an infant’s body in a strange new world of swords and magic.

His new identity is Rudeus Grayrat, but he still retains the memories of his previous life. Follow Rudeus from infancy to adulthood, as he struggles to redeem himself in a wondrous yet dangerous world.
