World Cosplay Summit 2020 Canceled and Moved Online

The World Cosplay Summit 2020 event was originally scheduled to be held in Nagoya on August 1 and 2, but that’s not going to happen this year. Citing “multiple aspects that might affect the celebration of the ‘World Cosplay Summit 2020’ up to this point,” the official website announced plans to cancel the physical event and move it to an online format.

This marks the first time for the World Cosplay Summit to be canceled since it first kicked off in 2003. The online event is scheduled for the same dates, with more details to be announced in a special online presentation on July 1.
