Tiger & Bunny 2 Releases English Subbed Trailer

The Tiger & Bunny 2 sequel anime will debut globally on Netflix this April 8, showing Part 1 (13 episodes) of the 25-episode series. The event “Tiger & Bunny 2 Precious EVE” over the weekend released a trailer for the anime. The trailer is in Japanese but has English subtitles. In it you can hear the opening theme song “kaleido proud fiesta” being performed by Unison Square Garden.

The anime takes place after the film Tiger & Bunny The Movie -The Rising- .You don’t hear it in the trailer, but the ending theme song for Part 1 will be “Aida,” performed by ano.

The main cast will be coming back, and some new actors and characters have been named. Nobunaga Shimazaki plays He Is Thomas / Thomas Taurus, Shōya Chiba plays Mr. Black / Subaru Sengoku, and Tomori Kusunoki plays Magical Cat / Lara Tsaikoskaya.

The anime is being made at Bandai Namco Pictures, with Atsuko Kase of Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory working as the director. Masafumi Nishida, who has previously worked on the franchise, is back to both write and supervise the scripts.

While oftentimes manga is adapted into anime, this time they’re doing a switch, as this new anime sequel is getting its own manga. It will be called Tiger & Bunny 2 The Comic and begin coming out in Japan on April 15. This news comes from Shueisha’s Tonari no Young Jump. Then Kadokawa’s Comic Newtype announced there will be another manga in addition to Tiger & Bunny 2 The Comic, and their manga will be done by Mizuki Sakakibara.

Netflix gave this description of the anime:

“Fighting for peace — and their sponsors — the odd couple of Wild Tiger and Barnaby continue to work as superheroes. But with the number of superheroes increasing around the world, how will these two veterans fare!?”
