One of the most anticipated returns of 2021 is THE PROMISED NEVERLAND season 2, continuing the anime adaptation of Kaiu Shirai and Posuka Demizu’s hit Weekly Shonen Jump manga. The date has now been narrowed down, with the second season set to launch on Fuji TV’s noitaminA block in Japan on January 7.
This follows an earlier delay, back when THE PROMISED NEVERLAND season 2 was planned for an October 2020 premiere. COVID-19 complications made a postponement inevitable, like many other productions at the time, and re-runs of the first season aired in its place.
While we still have a little wait ahead of us, a new trailer is here to tide us over and get us even more hyped for THE PROMISED NEVERLAND season 2.

Crunchyroll streamed the first season as it aired. Here’s how they sum up the dark story:
The one adored as the mother is not the real parent. The people living here together are not actual siblings. The Gracefield House is where orphaned children live. An irreplaceable home where 38 siblings and Mom live happy lives, even with no blood relations. However, their everyday life suddenly came to an abrupt end one day…
Lest we forget, in addition to Japan’s live-action take, there’s also a live-action adaptation in the works at Amazon.
