An anime film based on Sho Harusono’s Sasaki and Miyano manga is getting ready to bring the love to theaters in Japan on February 17 along with the Hirano and Kagiura spin-off episode, and a new commercial recently arrived to offer another quick preview. In addition to a brief snippet of Miracle Chimpanzee’s “MARCH” theme song, you can see a couple new scenes teased in the video below.
The staff behind the Sasaki and Miyano TV anime is back for the anime film and spinoff episode, including director Shinji Ishihara (Log Horizon), assistant director Soudai Ueno and writer Yoshiko Nakamura (GANBARE DOUKICHAN).
Crunchyroll streamed the TV anime as it aired and describes it like so:
Miyano spends his days reading Boys’ Love manga and worrying about the soft features of his face. His world of fiction becomes reality when a chance encounter leads him to high school senior Sasaki in the middle of a fight. Now, Sasaki wants to spend every opportunity he can to get to know Miyano. And what was once admiration quickly turns into affection.
