New World Trigger Season Teased with Fresh Visual

New World Trigger Season Teased with Fresh VisualEarlier this year, we learned there was a new season of World Trigger on the way. Here to help remind us that it is, indeed, still on the way is a fresh new visual.

Here it is! Just look at it! Look at its supple contours, created by character designer Toshihisa Kaiya. Makes you want some new World Trigger right this moment, doesn’t it?

Unfortunately, we still don’t know when this new season is set to air.

What we do know is that the staff will be a mix of new and old. The old: screenwriter Hiroyuki Yoshino, aforementioned character designer Kaiya and musical maestro Kenji Kawai, all of whom are World Trigger vets. New on the scene is director Morio Hatano, who’s best known for directing the Future Trunks saga from Dragon Ball Super.

Here’s how Viz Media describes Daisuke Ashihara’s original World Trigger manga:

Destroy thy Neighbor! A gate to another dimension has burst open, and invincible monsters called Neighbors invade Earth. Upstanding Osamu always does the right thing, whether it means pitching in to save Earth after school or turning the other cheek to bullies. But when he meets a feisty humanoid Neighbor named Yuma, everything that he thinks is right is turned on its head. Can the two natural enemies ever become friends?
