New Original Final Fantasy Manga Revealed

A new original manga based on the Final Fantasy franchise is on its way, it was announced today.

The manga, which is entitled Final Fantasy Lost Stranger, will begin serialization this spring in Square Enix’s monthly Shonen Gangan magazine.

Lost Stranger will be written by Hazuki Minase, the writer of the light novel series, who has also contributed scripts for Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya and its various sequels. It will be illustrated by Itsuki Kameya (Kaidan Tochu no Big Noise).

Though there have been several manga based on Final Fantasy games and other properties, this is the first original manga based on the 30-year-old video game franchise, according to Shonen Gangan.
