Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always Trailer Bursts with Action

It’s almost morphin time! The upcoming Netflix special, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always, which will hit the streaming service on April 19, has released a trailer. In it, you can see that Rita Repulsa is once again up to her dastardly deeds, and it’s up to the Power Rangers to stop her. It also references that Rita killed the original Yellow Ranger, and her daughter, who is played by Charlie Kersh, is involved with the Rangers.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always has Walter Emanuel Jones, the original Black Ranger; David Yost, the original Blue Ranger; Catherine Sutherland, the second Pink Ranger; Steve Cardenas, the second Red Ranger; Karan Ashley, the second Yellow Ranger; and Johnny Yong Bosch, the second Black Ranger. Barbara Goodson is reprising her role as Rita Repulsa, and Richard Horvitz is back as Alpha 5.

“It was such a surreal experience to be on the set of Power Rangers again after 28 years,” Jones remarked after the special was announced. “Our Ranger family runs deep.”

According to the description, in this special the Power Rangers will come “face to face with a familiar threat from the past. In the midst of a global crisis, they are called on once again to be the heroes the world needs. Inspired by the legendary mantra from the franchise ‘Once a Ranger, Always a Ranger,’ Once & Always reminds everyone when you become a Ranger, you are always a part of the Ranger family and always welcome.”

The original Power Rangers was a mix of Japanese and American footage, and became a huge franchise in the 90s. The most recent series in the franchise is Power Rangers Dino Fury, which came out in 2021 on Nickelodeon. Power Rangers Cosmic Fury, its third season, is scheduled to come out later this year.
