TYPE-MOON has big plans for its Mahoutsukai no Yoru: Witch on the Holy Night visual novel, which will officially make its way to the big screen in an adaptation produced by ufotable (Fate/Zero, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba).
Details are light at the moment, but a teaser promo and visual have arrived to get everyone suitably hyped for the feature.
Created by Kinoko Nasu—who is best known for writing visual novels like Fate/stay night and Tsukihime, as well as light novel The Garden of Sinners—the Mahoutsukai no Yoru: Witch on the Holy Night was first released for PC in 2012. Regular collaborator Hirokazu Koyama worked on the visuals for the game, which is set in the late ’80s and follows a high school student who encounters a pair of witches.
Koyama got in on the fun and shared a celebratory illustration after the film was announced.
