Lottery Set Up for $1,700 Premium Masterline Dragon Ball Super Golden Frieza

There are lots of anime figures out there, but this new one with Frieza is going to be especially rare and sought-after. The Premium Masterline Dragon Ball Super Golden Frieza is brought to us by Prime 1 Studio and MegaHouse, and only 150 units will be manufactured. The creation of this figure was originally revealed in late 2023.

As a result of its rareness, Premium Bandai is holding a lottery for people interested in buying. People can enter into the lottery between now and April 30. The winners will be revealed the very next day, on May 1.

Do the winners get Frieza for free? Nope, he’ll cost 242,000 yen (approximately $1,700), but you’ll still have to go through the lottery to even have a chance at him. Lottery winners who then pay the asking price can expect their figurine to ship before the month is out.

The Premium Masterline Dragon Ball Super Golden Frieza is 61 centimeters tall, which is just slightly over two feet. LED lights on the base, which is 17 by 13 inches, make him look extra powerful. And this Frieza won’t try to blow up Earth or other evil shenanigans, so there’s a plus.

VIZ Media publishes the Dragon Ball Super manga (along with the Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z) and gave this description for the first volume of Super:

Dragon Ball Super Plot

Having defeated Boo, Goku is starting to get bored with his life on Earth. His wife, Chi-chi, wants him to get a job, but all he wants to do is train and fight stronger enemies. Elsewhere in the universe, the God of Destruction, Beerus, and his attendant Whis are traveling from planet to planet in search of food and entertainment. After blowing up some hapless victims, Beerus is reminded of a man from his dreams with the moniker “Super Saiyan God,” or something like that… The God of Destruction sets his sights on Earth to track down this mysterious man! Maybe this will give Goku something to do?
