In Dragon Ball Z, Bulma was known as a scientific genius who could engineer up all kinds of cool technology. That makes her the ideal face of Findy, a Japanese company that helps bring together engineers and potential employers. Findy now has a new commercial running that uses footage from DBZ of Bulma doing her engineering thing, with copy that reads:
That story all began with a single invention.
In whatever age, those who create make the world an interesting place.
So, you engineers:
Get creating.
Findy representative Yuichiro Yamada comments:
We believe that the character of Bulma is a symbol of creators, who support their friends with technology and pioneer the future. In her image, we see the power and potential of today’s engineers. We at Findy will continue to stand by the side of all creators who take on challenges and support their first steps forward.
Yeah, sure, it’s kind of corporate drivel, but it’s cool that Japan embraces its fictional icons like this.
Not that anyone needs it, but here’s how Crunchyroll describes Dragon Ball Z:
Goku – the strongest fighter on the planet – is all that stands between humanity and villains from the darkest corners of space. Joined in battle by the Z Fighters, Goku travels to distant realms in search of the magic powers of the seven Dragon Balls!
