Believe it or not, writer Yuto Tsukuda and illustrator Shun Saeki’s Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma manga is about to come to an end. According to this year’s 27th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, which hit stands in Japan this week, the serialization is set to conclude in just three chapters.
On top of that, the series has a “super important announcement” on the way to coincide with its final chapter. We’ll have to wait and see what they have in store.
Tsukuda hopped on Twitter to express his shock that Food Wars! was a trending topic. “That’s right, please check this week’s Jump out!!!”

Food Wars! has been running in Jump since 2012, and the 35th collected volume hits stands in Japan on Tuesday, June 4. So far it has inspired three seasons of anime by J.C. STAFF.
