Evangelion 3.0+1.0 Opens in Japan January 23, 2021The end is finally, finally, finally here. Well, it will be soon, anyway. Evangelion 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon a Time, the fourth and final film in the Rebuild of Evangelion series, will hit Japanese theaters January 23, 2021.

The film was originally scheduled to open June 27 of this year, but was delayed due to COVID-19.

The January 23 release date was revealed via a new trailer for the film, which is not six hours long.

Meanwhile, to build up hype for 3.0+1.0, the previous three films in the series will get 4D screenings in December.

Recently, the Evangelion franchise celebrated its 25th anniversary. GKIDS will release the original series on Blu-ray in North America next year.
