Demon Slayer is back on top! For twelve weeks the Demon Slayer movie was at the top spot at the Japanese box office (and sometimes in the world), and then it got replaced by the Gintama movie during week thirteen. It appeared as if Demon Slayer’s reign might be over, but don’t get ahead of yourself.
Last weekend another 123,000 Demon Slayer tickets were sold, and those numbers were enough for it to return to the #1 spot in the box office. All told, more than 26.44 million tickets have been sold for Demon Slayer. Gintama is at the #2 spot, after moviegoers bought 106,000 tickets for it over the weekend.
Do you think Demon Slayer is going to stay at the #1 spot?
