Cyborg 009 Returns to the Screen with New Nemesis Anime

Shotaro Ishinomori’s classic Cyborg 009 manga celebrated its 61st anniversary with a big announcement. A new anime titled Cyborg 009: Nemesis is officially in the works, with more information to come.
While we wait for that info to surface, the official Ishimori Production website shared the above announcement visual.
The original Cyborg 009 manga kicked off in the pages of Shonengahosha’s Weekly King magazine back in July 1964. It inspired anime adaptations on the small screen in 1968, 1979 and 2001, and has also been made into anime films, OVA specials and other projects, including manga and more.
Tokyopop previously published some of Shotaro Ishinomori’s Cyborg 009 manga in English back in 2003.
