Call of the Night Manga to End After 200 Chapters

call of the night

Four years after Kotoyama’s Call of the Night manga first started its run in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine, the series officially has an ending in sight. According to the magazine’s 51st issue, the 200th chapter will be its last, and we should be seeing that chapter’s debut on January 10, 2024, barring any unforeseen delays.

The Call of the Night manga inspired a TV anime adaptation that first kicked off in July 2022 and is available to stream on HIDIVE and on home video through Sentai Filmworks.

VIZ MEDIA publishes the series in English and sums up the story:

Nanakusa is a vampire. That’s okay with human Ko. He wants to be one too. But transformation doesn’t come that easily…

When Nazuna invites Ko to spend the night at her place in an abandoned building, he’s stoked! But then he awakens to kisses on his neck with a little too much bite to them… Is it just the delicious taste of his blood that makes her meet him night after night for late-night adventures, conversation and…naps? Or something else? Then, when a cute girl from Yamori’s past shows up and competes for his attention, his budding relationship with the undead is put to the test!
