Catch up to These Returning Anime Series Before July!

Get caught up on these returning anime before next month!

The summer 2025 anime season is just around the corner, packed with new and continuing series. A few returning anime series have been on a minor hiatus, to the point that it might be easy to forget they’re coming back! Fortunately, we’re keeping an eye out for you. Get on board with the first seasons of these series, and make sure you’re all caught up for July.

Call of the Night – July 4

Call of the Night

It’s been three whole years since Call of the Night last graced our screens. Fortunately, this vampire rom-com is one of this summer’s returning anime titles! Join the vampiric Nazuna and the insomniac Ko as they enjoy the nightlife… which consists mostly of vampires.

Ko’s dive into the midnight world unearthed a lot of surprising truths. The existence of vampires, and indeed vampire hunters, is just scraping the surface. Another big surprise was that becoming a vampire isn’t just a matter of being bitten and turned. Love also plays a major factor. And once you’re turned, you won’t remember everything about yourself. Where will Ko’s relationship with Nazuna lead him? The story continues July 4, but you can catch up on HIDIVE before then!

Toilet-bound Hanako-kun – July 6

Toilet-bound Hanako-kun

Technically, this returning anime is coming back for part 2 of its second season! Toilet-bound Hanako-kun returned for a second run in winter of this year. In this most recent season, heroine Nene Yashiro found herself trapped in an alternate world—one where Hanako-kun never died and lives on happily as Amane Yugi. But this, like just about everything else she faces, is tied to the school’s Seven Mysteries.

If the next installment follows the original manga, we’re about to encounter School Mystery #6. Considering this mystery holds sway over life and death, this is naturally of interest to Nene. But confronting him could mean risking other things—and people—important to her. Catch up to what’s aired so far and be ready when the Honorable No. 7 and his helper return!

Grand Blue Dreaming – July 8

Grand Blue Dreaming

It’s been seven years since the last season of Grand Blue Dreaming, making this returning anime one we’ve waited quite a while for. This slice-of-life college comedy is ostensibly about scuba diving. But honestly it’s usually more about drinking, stripping, and getting in ridiculous amounts of trouble. And, fortunately, it looks like the show’s return will include much, much more of the same.

Sadly, it’s a bit hard to find the original season legitimately online. But Kodansha has the whole back catalogue available via the K-MANGA app, meaning you can still verse yourself in the story before the new season commences!
