Akihabara Loses Another Major Arcade Amidst Pandemic

Adores is a major arcade located by the Akihabara Station building in Tokyo, but unfortunately it won’t be around for much longer. Like the Sega Akihabara Building 2 arcade and Silk Hat Ikebukuro arcade, it appears that the COVID-19 pandemic has chased away enough people that it can no longer afford to stay open.

Adores shared the news on Twitter, writing, “Thank you very much for your continued patronage. Due to various circumstances, we will be closing on June 30. We wish to offer our deepest gratitude for our customers’ many years of support.”

Crane games and karaoke have been a big part of the arcade’s business.
