Anime mouse pads are a weird topic, but apparently a lot of people are googling for them. It’s a market filled with a lot of bootleg products shamelessly ripped from both official art and fan art. There are also so many T&A fanservice mouse pads flooding the market that it can be tough to find anything else. So we decided to come up with a list of some of the better options available with info on where to buy them:
20) Official Playstation Mouse Pad
Size: 31.5 x 15.75″
Price: $21.99
Available from: Play-Asia
It might seem a bit backwards to decorate your mouse and keyboard gaming setup with console gamepads, but this official Playstation mousepad from Japan will take you all the way back through the dualshock generations to when you saw your first horribly compressed anime FMVs.
19) SFW Hentai Mousepad
Size: 13×11″, 18×16″, 36×18″
Price: $20 – $40
Available from: Design By Humans
If you want to celebrate your love for hentai with an item that technically doesn’t contain any nudity and therefore just barely might not get you in trouble with parents/coworkers/etc, then this is the mouse pad for you.
18) Copyright Hell XL Mouse Pad
Price: $21.99
Size: 35.4 x 15.75″
Available from: Amazon
If you want the biggest anime mousepad possible with the most possible characters crammed in from different studios, such that the best lawyers in the world could never possibly secure ALL the rights to produce it legally, this massive unlicensed mousepad from Amazon is just the thing for you.
17) Snuggles with Foxes
Size: 11×13″, 16×18″, 18×36″
Price: $20 – $40
Available from: Design By Humans
To offset all the unlicensed items in this list, we wanted to highlight some items sold by independent artists so at least SOME of the people who drew the stuff on these mouse pads can maybe get paid for their work. If you want something cute and cuddly, this original piece will deliver. Its vertical orientation is not the most practical for a mouse pad. If you have limited horizontal space or you’re less picky about maximizing the potential swing radius of your mouse, it could still suit you nicely though.
16) Totoro Mousepad with T&A-less Wrist Rest
Size: 10.2×8.7″”
Price: $13.99
Available from: Amazon
If the pervasive “wrist rest as boobs/butt” (a.k.a. oppai) trend in anime mouse pads makes you cringe, but you still need padding to prevent wrist pain, this Totoro mousepad from Amazon might be on of the only options that works for you. If Totoro isn’t your cup of tea (what’s wrong with you?) the seller has a couple other designs featuring cute animals, and one of those might suit you better.
15) Gundam Unicorn Chinese Style
Size: 11×13″, 16×18″
Price: $20 – $30
Available from: Design By Humans
We knew there would be high demand for a Gundam Wing mouse pad in this list, but the composition, style, and color of this one Gundam Unicorn tribute was so strong, we simply had to choose it instead. Its vertical orientation isn’t the most practical, but it’s still pretty cool.
14) Fate/Zero Rider and Weber Mouse Pad
Size: 10.2×8.7″”
Price: $13.99
Available from: Amazon
This entry goes one further than the Totoro mousepad and bucks the fanservice wrist rest trend by putting cow heads right where you expect to see boobs. It’s a simple design, but we gotta give props for cleverness.
13) Official One Piece Treasure Map Mouse Pad
Size: 14×10″
Price: $13.99
Available from: Rightstuf
One of the few officially-licensed anime mouse pads currently available in the states, this 14×10″ One Piece mousepad is styled after a sailor’s map. Honestly, we kinda wish the logo were smaller and tucked in a corner, because the map itself is pretty nice.
12) Tastefully Rule 34 Mononoke Mousepad
Price: $18.99 + $9.45 shipping
Size: 29.5 x 15.9″
Available from: Amazon
This is the NSFW anime mouse pad you can bring home to your parents. At least when this Amazon seller was rifling through adult-oriented fan art to rip off for their own monetary gain, they had the decency to choose a heartfelt moment between San and Ashitaka containing no actual nudity.
11) Portrait #7 by danyboyfromparis
Size: 11×13″, 16×18″, 18×36″
Price: $20 – $40
Available from: Design By Humans
This original piece is masterfully drawn, and there aren’t too many places you can find people of color represented in anime. Her t-shirt references the neoexpressionist graffiti artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. Danyboyfromparis has a lot of other pieces available as mouse pads as well, so if you’d prefer a horizontal composition or just want to explore his style, they are worth checking out.
10) Ranma 1/2 by PaisdelasMaquinas
Size: 13×11″, 18×16″
Price: $20 – $30
Available from: Design By Humans
This snazzy Ranma mouse pad is available in 12 different background colors, so if you want your mousepad to match with the rest of the décor around your desk, it gives you a lot to work with.
9) Cute Little Fire
Size: 11×13″, 16×18″, 18×36″
Price: $20 – $40
Available from: Design By Humans
This artist was clearly inspired by Nintendo’s handheld system and franchises like Pokemon and Kirby, but instead of just ripping Nintendo’s art, they drew up their own original character and system designs, and we respect that. This mousepad is also available in 16 different background colors, allowing you to coordinate it with your home or office décor.
8) Bucciarati Licking Giorno Mouse Pad
Size: 13×11″, 18×16″
Price: $20 – $30
Available from: Design By Humans
If you want a BL-oriented Jojo mousepad, and all the manboob and manbutt-based mouse pads on Amazon weren’t enough for you, this entry from Design By Humans has the man-on-man action you’re looking for.
7) Official Shenron Dragon Ball Z Gaming Mouse Pad
Size: 14×10″
Price: $13.99
Available from: Rightstuf
This is the coolest officially-licensed anime mousepad we could find. Shenron is a suprisingly underrated character in the Dragon Ball universe, given that he literally makes the balls work (that’s what she said?) and the background landscape is nicely stylized.
6) Breath of Water
Size: 13×11″, 18×16″
Price: $20 – $30
Available from: Design By Humans
With the current popularity of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba, we couldn’t omit this design featuring Tanjiro. It’s cropped pretty heavily from a larger piece which looks even better as a t-shirt or print.
5) Icecream Expedition
Size: 11×13″, 16×18″, 18×36″
Price: $20 – $40
Available from: Design By Humans
This may not be a real anime, but a penguin driving a specialized snow-proof ice cream truck/tractor is definitely in the kawaii spirit showcased in many anime, so we’re including it!
4) Evangelion Unit 01
Size: 13×11″, 18×16″
Price: $20 – $30
Available from: Design By Humans
The pop art vibes of this design make us imagine it’s what Andy Warhol would do if he made Evangelion mouse pads… which is… most definitely EXACTLY what he would be doing today if he were still alive. Buy four of them in different colors, put them in a frame, and feel like you got a deal.
3) Tea Shrine and Tea Spirit
Size: 11×13″, 16×18″, 18×36″
Price: $20 – $40
Available from: Design By Humans
The forest spirit theme and visual style of this original piece instantly recalls Studio Ghibli’s masterpieces, and its especially apropos if you’re a tea drinker.
2) Android 18
Size: 13×11″, 18×16″, 36×18″
Price: $20 – $40
Available from: Design By Humans
It’s a simple design, but it REALLY pops as a result of the color coordination between the background, 18’s denim jacket, and her eyes. We’re reminded why she ranked so highly in this poll. That being said, if you want a different background color, there is a good selection of complimentary alternatives available. This is one of the few designs where the 36×18″ version looks just as good as the rest; filling the whole mouse pad without turning things sideways or leaving awkward crop lines.
1) Vagabond’s Miyamoto Musashi
Size: 13×11″, 18×16″
Price: $20 – $30
Available from: Design By Humans
Vagabond doesn’t get talked about much anymore, but if you were reading manga in the early 2000’s, Takehiko Inoue’s art stuck out as some of the best being localized at the time. Design By Humans user Nyuwunsewu has made it pop even more with a bold mosaic coloring style that’s hard to look away from. If you like it, the user has a ton of t-shirts done in the same style which are all pretty cool.
