Demon Slayer Back at Second Place in Japanese Box Office

demon slayer movie

After crushing the competition at the Japanese box office for twelve weeks, Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train fell to second place on weekend thirteen. Gintama took the lead then, but it didn’t last long. By the next weekend, Demon Slayer was back on top.

But Demon Slayer has slipped again — it’s returned to second place this weekend, which is the sixteenth weekend since it came out. So far 26.88 million movie tickets have been bought, making the movie about $350,870,548. It’s done better than any other film at the Japanese box office.

Do you think Demon Slayer might sneak back up to first place again?
