Posuka Demizu, the artist behind The Promised Neverland, has drawn an image supporting Japan’s efforts to socially distance and help stop the spread of COVID-19.
The illustration, posted on the official Promised Neverland account, depicts the manga’s three main characters staying a safe distance from each other and wearing masks.
The tweet reads:
#StayHome support illustration arrival!
We’ve received an illustration from Posuka Demizu to everyone!
Days in which we can’t leave home or see our friends are continuing, but so that we can see everyone again in a healthy state, let’s try our best! Everyone, please stay safe!

The Promised Neverland, which is written by Kaiu Shirai and illustrated by Posuka Demizu, debuted in 2016 and was adapted into an anime series in 2019. A second season is on the way in 2021. Here’s how Viz Media describes the manga:
Emma, Norman and Ray are the brightest kids at the Grace Field House orphanage. And under the care of the woman they refer to as “Mom,” all the kids have enjoyed a comfortable life. Good food, clean clothes and the perfect environment to learn—what more could an orphan ask for? One day, though, Emma and Norman uncover the dark truth of the outside world they are forbidden from seeing.
