Death Note Manga’s New Cover Illustration Revealed
January kicked off with the news that the first Death Note manga chapter in 12 years would be arriving in the next issue of Jump SQ. magazine in Japan on February 4. The chapter itself consists of 87 all-new pages by original writer Tsugumi Ohba and illustrator Takeshi Obata. It tells a fresh story after the original manga, in which Ryuk’s Death Note falls to Earth once more.
With the chapter’s debut coming up soon, Jump SQ. revealed the cover illustration Obata whipped up for the magazine. Check it out in all its glory below.
When the chapter arrives, it will also sport a colored center page. Hopefully we’ll be seeing it in English shortly after!
