World Trigger Manga Announces 1-Month Hiatus

world trigger

There have been a handful of hiatuses for the World Trigger manga over the years, but the latest thankfully isn’t related to author Daisuke Ashihara’s health. According to the official account for the manga, the series will be taking a month off so Ashihara can work on the next compiled volume.

That means there won’t be a new chapter of World Trigger in the February 2025 issue, which ships in Japan on January 4. The series will be back in time for the March issue the following month.

Previously, Ashihara’s poor physical health caused a month-long hiatus in January 2024.

VIZ Media handles the simulpub of the series, which it describes below:

World Trigger Plot

Earth is under constant threat from Neighbors, invincible monsters from another dimension that destroy our way of life. At least we have the elite warriors of Border, who co-opt alien technology to fight back!

Our hero Osamu Mikumo may not be the best agent, but he’ll do whatever it takes to defend life on Earth as we know it.

When Osamu meets a feisty humanoid Neighbor named Yuma, everything that he thinks is right is turned on its head. Can the two natural enemies ever become friends?
