Based on the comedy fantasy manga by Sousuke Touka, Ousama Ranking is a TV anime that’s on the way from the folks at WIT Studio (Attack on Titan seasons 1-3, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress). The series will celebrate the 10th anniversary of WIT when it premieres on Fuji TV’s Noitamina block in Japan this October, and the latest update is here with a new teaser and more info on the cast and staff.
Ousama Ranking is directed by Yosuke Hatta (Boogiepop and Others sub-director), with Taku Kishimoto (The Millionaire Detective Balance: Unlimited) on series composition and Atsuko Nozaki (Tokyo Magnitude 8.0) handling chief animation direction and character designs.
Bojji, the first prince of the Kingdom of Bossu who dreams of being a mighty king despite being deaf and unable to wield a sword, will be voiced by Minami Hinata (Tetsu Kiyota in Yo-kai Academy Y). Ayumu Murase (Shoyo Hinata in Haikyu!!) voices Shadow Clan survivor Kage, a thief who eventually becomes Bojji’s friend.
