Sad news arrived over the weekend, as the talent agency for voice actor Saki Nitta announced that she recently passed away. Nitta was just 31 years old, and passed on February 6 as a result of Meningioma, a form of tumor in the brain or spinal cord.

Born in Hokkaido in 1991, Nitta’s accent came into play in her many voice acting roles for anime and other forms of dubbing in Japan. In the case of the latter, Nitta can be heard in projects ranging from movies like Zootopia and American Hustle to games like Disney’s Twisted Wonderland and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

In the anime world, Nitta voiced characters such as Pakuri in Kill la Kill, Bridget Faye and Catche Dop in D.Gray-man Hallow, Tsuburaya in MAJOR SECOND Season 2, and various background characters in Yowamushi Pedal.

Our thoughts go out to her friends and family, who held a private funeral for the late talent.
