Forget “get in the damn robot.” Now it’s “put on the damn robot” thanks to these bizarre but awesome Evangelion Unit-01 shoulder cushions.
The cushions, seen below, are hitting the online and physical Evangelion stores September 1, and cost 4,800 yen (about $44) per cushion. The maker of these unique pieces of Eva goodness, Movic, recommends them either as pillows or for some pretty cute cosplay.
Movic is also releasing a cushion based on the red emergency alarm from the series. I don’t personally see much of a connection between relaxing with a soft cushion and a bright red emergency alarm, but to each Eva fan their own. One of them goes for 4,500 yen (about $41).
These cushions are just the latest example of decades worth of strange, wonderful Eva merch, which also includes razors and eyedrops.
