Toei Animation has something big in the works, this time in the form of a partnership with South Korea’s CJ ENM, one of Asia’s biggest entertainment companies. Known for a wide variety of productions, including Bong Joon-Ho’s Academy Award-winning film Parasite, CJ ENM will work together with Toei to produce joint works based on both existing and new IPs.

While there aren’t any details on those projects, they entail CJ ENM creating live-action works based on Toei Animation’s wide assortment of anime, as well as Toei handling animation based on CJ ENM’s many properties.

According to Toei Animation’s press release, joint projects will begin to see release starting in 2023.
