Another big announcement that came through this weekend involves The Misfit of Demon King Academy, which is officially coming back for a second season. The anime adaptation of writer Shu and illustrator Yoshinori Shizuma’s fantasy light novel series will have the main staff and cast returning, including chief director Onuma and director Masafumi Tamura.
Among the other staff members on board for season two are character designer Kazuyuki Yamayoshi, series composition writer Jin Tanaka, sound director Ryosuke Naya, and composer Kenji Inai at anime production house SILVER LINK.

Crunchyroll streamed the first season of The Misfit of Demon King Academy as it aired in Japan and sums it up below.
Anos Voldigord was a tyrannical Demon King that eradicated humans, spirits, and even the gods, but became bored of eternal warfare and reincarnated with dreams of a peaceful world. However, what awaited him in reincarnation after 2000 years were descendants who became too weak after being accustomed to peace, and all sorts of magic that deteriorated to the extreme. Anos enters Demon King Academy that gathers and educates those who are viewed as the reincarnation of the Demon King, but the academy could not see through his true powers and ends up branding him as a misfit.
