We saw the first trailer for Studio Ponoc’s new anime film The Imaginary back in August. Now we have another look at the feature ahead of its December 15, 2023 premiere in Japan thanks to a new theme song lyric video. The official video features the song “Nothing’s Impossible,” which comes from award-winning artists in the form of singer-songwriter Rachel Platten and musical duo A Great Big World.

An official second trailer also recently made its way online via the Studio Ponoc YouTube channel:

The Imaginary anime film was first planned for release in summer 2022 before being pushed back to winter 2023, then locking in plans for December 15 in Japan and 2024 in the rest of the world.

Here’s how Studio Ponoc describes it:

A boy no one can see, and the Imaginaries.

Meet Rudger, the boy created by the imagination of a girl who lost love.

They spend precious time together, running through a world of breathtaking imagination and a challenging reality.

One day that world of imagination is about to disappear with the arrival of a mysterious man seeking to destroy Rudger.
