From Studio Ponoc, the creators of Mary and The Witch’s Flower, comes Modest Heroes, an ambitious anthology of three thrilling tales created by some of the greatest talents working in Japanese animation today. This one-of-a-kind feature officially kicks off its U.S. screenings in subtitled form tonight, January 10, with English-dubbed showings to follow on January 12, and tickets are now available.

Before you head out to theaters, two official clips have arrived to preview some of the shorts that make up the gorgeous Modest Heroes. First up, soak in the lush details of Mary and the Witch’s Flower director Hiromasa Yonebayashi’s Kanini & Kanono below.

You can also sample Life Ain’t Gonna Lose, a short full of human drama directed by Yoshiyuki Momose and starring Maggie Q as the voice of the mother.

And Akihiko Yamashita’s Invisible:
