A sneak peek video of the soon-to-open Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan has been released. The video gives us a glimpse of a world that looks as if it more or less came straight out of a Mario video game, and then shows us some up close images of the ride Mario Kart: Koopa’s Challenge.
Super Nintendo Land was initially supposed to open in 2020 for the Tokyo Olympics, though the opening got postponed because of COVID. In October it was announced that the plan was for Super Nintendo World to open in spring 2021. But this new video reveals that plans have changed again, and now this section of the park is set to make its debut February 4.
There are also plans to make a Super Nintendo World at a new Universal Orlando theme park and at Universal Studios Hollywood.
