Spriggan Anime Postponed to 2022 to Improve Quality

The second official teaser trailer is here for Netflix’s Spriggan anime, and it’s looking pretty awesome. That’s the good news about the new adaptation of Hiroshi Takashige and Ryouji Minagawa’s sci-fi action manga. The bad news is that the anime has been delayed to 2022 after originally being announced for release sometime by the end of 2021.

According to the announcement, the delay has been put in place to “improve the quality of the work further.” The notice added, “All of our staff members are working hard to create an even higher quality visual experience. We hope you will wait until the stream begins in 2022.”

This is probably good news too, actually, especially if the staff at david production (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure) can continue to deliver on what’s being teased below.
