The Sorcerous Stabber Orphen anime—a reboot by Studio DEEN based on the light novels by Yoshinobu Akita—is ready to come back for more very soon. Sorcerous Stabber Orphen season 3 was announced for a January 2023 premiere, and a couple cast additions were detailed along with a new preview.

Check out a visual and teaser promo:

Subtitled “Chaos in Urbanrama,” the new season will feature Daisuke Ono (Jotaro in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure) as Edo:

And Shiki Aoki (Homura in EDENS ZERO) as Lottesha:

Sorcerous Stabber Orphen originated as a light novel by Yoshinobu Akita way back in 1994. Including spinoffs, the series has over 30 volumes, plus manga, multiple anime adaptations and more.

Here’s how Funimation describes season 1:

Orphen is a powerful Sorcerer who’s notoriously lazy. But everything changes when he discovers a way to save his sister who was turned into a dragon during their days at the academy. Now he’ll stop at nothing to save her, even if he has to go it alone!
