Hello Kitty is on everything from notebooks to jewelry, but she’s continuing to expand her adorable feline empire with Hello Kitty themed hotel rooms opening this October.
The new Asakusa Tobu Hotel, which is located in Tokyo, aims to offer two rooms dedicated to the mouthless cat. According to SoraNews24, reservations become available August 24. And they’ll probably be snatched up quickly by fans.
If you’re wondering, “Do the two rooms look the same?” the answer is a resounding “No.” The hotel took its time to make each room unique while staying true to the Hello Kitty vibes. One room is named “Sakura Heavenly Maiden.” You’d be surrounded by pink and other light colors, with sakura (cherry blossom) petals painted on the ceiling and images of Hello Kitty. And are those Hello Kitty bows on the pillows?
The other room, titled “Modern Japanese,” keeps with the theme of pink and light colors, but has a different design. Here you can see a kimono-clad Hello Kitty surrounded by colorful shapes and circles. If this business model goes well, perhaps we’ll be seeing even more Hello Kitty hotel rooms!
