Following the recent announcement of 26-year-old actress Runa Narumi’s retirement due to health concerns, one of her key roles has been filled. Narumi was known for voicing Yuika Mitsumine in THE iDOLM@STER Shiny Colors, and with her departure, fans of the series can now welcome Shio Kisui as the new voice of the character.

A member of the agency BLACK SHIP—which was founded by VAs Shinnosuke Tachibana and Jun Fukuyama—Kisui has voiced roles such as Spotted Hyena in the Kemono Friends games and Eriko Miura in the Elegant Yokai Apartment Life TV anime. She opened her official Twitter and Instagram accounts ahead of the announcement, and had the following to say about the casting decision:

“Dear all. Hello, I am Shio Kisui. I will be playing the role of Yuika Mitsumine in ‘The Idolm@ster Shiny Colors.’ I’ll do my best, to the best of my ability. I would appreciate your support!”
