December 31 will mark the end of voice actress Runa Narumi’s career. Known for voices like Yuika Mitsumine in THE iDOLM@STER Shiny Colors, as well as Momoko Kanisawa in Platinum End, the 26-year-old actress will be retiring at the end of the year due to health issues.

The announcement was made through Narumi’s Tokyo-based agency Stardust Promotion. The actress has been taking a break from voice acting already since October 15 of this year, and the details of her specific health condition have yet to be disclosed.

While Narumi hasn’t made a statement of her own, and hasn’t posted via her official Twitter since October 3, here’s what the message on the agency’s site says:

“We are very sorry for the suddenness of this announcement. We would like to express our deepest apologies to her fans and everyone involved for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you very much for all your support and encouragement.”

The news has also been confirmed on the official website for THE iDOLM@STER Shiny Colors, which is currently working on the selection of a replacement for the role of Yuika Mitsumine. Look for the new cast member announcement to be made sometime around February 2022.
