Sony Pictures Entertainment has been on a roll with its CG-animated Resident Evil movie series, starting with Resident Evil: Degeneration in 2008 and moving on through Resident Evil: Damnation in 2012 and Resident Evil: Vendetta in 2017. Now the fourth entry is in the works, and a teaser trailer is here to prep fans for the impending arrival of Resident Evil: Death Island.
Familiar characters are back in action for this one, which is due out this summer and is directed by Eiichiro Hasumi (Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness) and written by Makoto Fukami (Psycho-Pass The Movie). Check out the teaser for a taste of what’s going on in San Francisco below.
Here’s how Sony describes it:
D.S.O. agent Leon S. Kennedy is on a mission to rescue Dr. Antonio Taylor from kidnappers, when a mysterious woman thwarts his pursuit. Meanwhile, B.S.A.A. agent Chris Redfield is investigating a zombie outbreak in San Francisco, where the cause of the infection cannot be identified. The only thing the victims have in common is that they all visited Alcatraz Island recently. Following that clue, Chris and his team head to the island, where a new horror awaits them.
