The PSYCHO-PASS anime series is celebrating its 10th anniversary, and one of the ways it’s doing so is with the announcement of a new anime film. While details are light at the moment, PSYCHO-PASS PROVIDENCE was announced during a special revival event, complete with a key visual to go along with the news.
Naoyoshi Shiotani is directing the film at Production I.G, and you can see the full visual below.
As for the wider 10th anniversary project, Shinya Kogami voice actor Tomokazu Seki is serving as the ambassador. The folks behind the series are planning a bunch of events to celebrate, from a revival of the radio program to pop-up shops, touring sales events, an exhibition and more. Check out the 10th anniversary promo and visual below.
Crunchyroll currently streams the first two seasons of the PSYCHO-PASS TV anime and describes them like so:
In the future, thinking about a crime makes you guilty, and justice is dispensed from the barrel of a gun. Detectives work in teams made up of Enforcers and Inspectors. Enforcers take out the bad guys, and Inspectors make sure their partners don’t cross the line. The equalizer in the war on thugs is the Dominator, a weapon that can tell when citizens are about to turn criminal.
