Bkub Okawa’s Pop Team Epic is ridiculous in every way, from the original gag manga to the over-the-top anime adaptation that really went for it back when it aired in 2018. Now the series’ merchandise is going all out, as well, with Pop Team Epic vending machines set to invade Akihabara and Ikebukuro on a limited basis.
Featuring Popuko and Pipimi all over the exterior, the machines will offer items like a “beautiful water” package—which includes a 200 mL PET bottle of mineral water with PTE artwork and one of eight different charms for ¥800—and eight trading bottle cap-stands for ¥650.
Pop Team Epic fans in Japan will definitely want to stop by one of these machines for the sheer novelty value alone. Starting February 15, they’ll be found in front of the Akihabara BAY HOTEL in Akihabara and in front of the Gacha Gacha no Mori store on the first floor of Ikebukuro’s Sunshine City World Import Mart Building.
