Pluto Anime Reveals Main Trailer and Visual


Earlier this year we finally got more info on the Pluto anime—which aims to adapt the manga by Naoki Urasawa that’s set in the world of Osamu Tezuka’s Astro Boy—followed by some cast additions. Now a two-minute main trailer has arrived along with a new key visual to preview more of adaptation ahead of its global premiere on October 26.

The Netflix series will run for eight episodes, with Toshio Kawaguchi directing, Shigeru Fujita handling character designs and Yugo Kanno composing music for the Studio M2 production. 

VIZ Media published the Pluto manga in English. Here’s how Netflix describes the story:

A murder occurs in an orderly world where robots are unable to kill humans. The robotic Europol investigator Gesicht takes the case, but the mystery deepens when he finds no trace of a human at the scene of the crime. As he pursues the truth, Gesicht uncovers the most evil manifestation of hate that history ever seen, one that is bent on bringing destruction to the world …
